About Sid Vaikunta
An experienced hospitality executive and current managing director with Sobha Developers of Dubai, Sid Vaikunta most recently worked as an executive with Echo Entertainment Group, an ASX top 100 company founded in the wake of the casinos division demerger of Tabcorp Holdings Limited. As a general manager of strategy and marketing with Tabcorp, he oversaw a wide range of strategic initiatives for casino properties such as Jupiters in Townsville, Treasury in Brisbane, Jupiters at the Gold Coast, and The Star in Sydney. Sid Vaikunta drove considerable return on investment and EBITDA margin growth at Echo and helped create a dynamic strategic plan for the casinos division.
Throughout his tenure as an executive with Echo Entertainment Group, Sid Vaikunta enacted a number of sweeping changes to the firm’s business strategy and organizational structure. To create a more customer-centric approach, he initiated and implemented a large-scale reorganization of senior management. Sid Vaikunta also reduced labor costs by more than $5 million in his first year with Echo and refocused the firm as a results-driven organization with strong and formal processes.
As a result of Sid Vaikunta’s lucrative marketing programs and innovative floor layouts, Echo Entertainment Group enjoyed 75 percent growth in electronic table games revenue. He also negotiated strategic lease and management partnerships with some of the top nightclub operators, luxury retailers, chefs, and restaurateurs in the world, establishing The Star as one of the most sought-after hospitality locations in Sydney.
